With you on this one. Gumbi apparently above average so this one should shit in.

Tricky little farker this card! ;) lol

R3 Two potentially half-decent debutants taking on a pretty average looking field so quite possible they will complete the exacta. However, as we, apart from the privileged few, have absolutely no blardy clue if they will need the run etc etc, we have to guess, as unfairly usual (thanks once again to the short-sighted industry as a whole... of course, bar a few enlightened ones). So, at the prices, I'll take my unfair chances and do a small e/w on Roy's Gold who, if reproducing her debut run, could be competitive. She has been somewhat disappointing since though with no known (by me anyway) reason for the poor second run, the third may have been needed after a rest. Anyway, the whole race is risky so probably better to stay out but I'm already in lol

R4 Guilty As Charged... though not exactly bursting with belief!

R5 Not sure about this fav and struggling to understand how a horse that (behind Butool, poly) beat her 1.5l and is now much better drawn is almost double the odds. Anyway, they are likely to be thereabouts but given the prices, I'll side with The Arabian. She has also finished behind Butool (turf) but only by 2.45l when drawn 12 over the Greyville 1200 and was reportedly making late progress. In her penultimate, she was a fair 3rd here again over 1200. Shezamatador another who should be in the vicinity.

R6 Not discussing as far too open imo! I'm going with a small e/w on September Storm who is on 3rd run after a rest and both her comeback runs were decent enough efforts, At big prices, I have nibbled all of Dancing Arrow (on 3rd run after a rest, 1 box and though seemingly inconsistent, one of her better runs would put her in the mix imo), Black Oleander (seems much improved since arriving in KZN, won over c/d on c debut lto and although that was a weak looking maiden she could be on the up and Chippy has been doing ok for this stable recently) and Surfing Belle (I can't remember why and I'm not looking again lol). Very open though and just about anything could win it.

R7 Muscatt

R8 Another where at the prices, I'll go past the market leaders and chance Texas Cowboy in a small e/w on the strength of his penultimate run which also came after a rest over c/d, think that was a fair effort and others here have questions to answer for me so worth taking the chance.

Not a card where confidence is high to say the least but, the racing itself might at least be competitive so for added interest I'm playing :)

Be(s)t of luck to all
