Dave on behalf of the SA Racing App Team we are extremely thankful for your generosity and support. Tonights card is going to be interesting as there are large fields and two of the top boys are not riding. Wishing everyone all the best.

Take this concept and shove it Gold Circle and if anyone in their right mind thinks that this shit will attract new people to horse racing i am willing to wager them that it will not.

As a current member i cannot understand why i must belong to a betting f..... club to get a badge and if i don't then when my horse races i must go to the race day office and get a paper badge or i will not be allowed into the parade ring. Sort the simple things out instead of getting mechanics to attempt brain surgery.

There are far too many structures in racing with people on the gravy train earning money when none of these structures actually deliver anything of value. There are representatives PRO's and all sorts of crap that is wasteful expenditure with very little being delivered for owners and punters in this province.

Hi Tigershark

You clearly seem frustrated with racing and probably with very good reason.

It is extremely frustrating to see a once great industry being reduced to rubble at the obvious expense of owners who are a mighty influence in the game.

I have not looked at this fantasy league game so cannot comment on it but what I can say is that alternative racing offerings have the best chance of promoting the sport to new player interest. The right combination of things is essential to take the sport from the current occasional attraction to a popular activity and new culture.

In the long run owners will benefit from the success of new projects which is why new initiatives needs to be given a chance. If only operators could see the logic of efforts to build new and future capacity and be more supportive of these ideas.

I would mention that maybe 14.00 is a bit late to open entries as during the day can get rather hectic, so you might want to consider having it loaded early in the morning to gain more interest and entries.

LSU you are correct, i have the shits with racing in KZN.

I respect your opinion & vision for the sport however i fear that people like you will not be allowed to implement real change. Instead we will have bands on the roof & virtual racing that has been copied from Soccer & rugby. This is then offered as a vehicle that will entice "NEW" customers............ what shit. If someone does not know anything about horse racing or virtual horse racing then why would they punt??????????

I would like to see the survey conducted and the results that gave someone the overwhelming evidence that this should be embarked upon. I have for years listened and watched all sorts of bull being spoken and happen with GC and i am tired of it.

I have a filly running on Sunday in a maiden race against colts because there are no distance races for fillies on the grass in KZN. A mate of mine who owns a share cannot understand after paying for the horse registration, colurs etc. why he has to get paper tickets to go into the parade ring????????????? He has since taken a share in another yearling we purchased at the nationals but for the life of me I still do not know why i am staying involved. When one looks at how many people that have been in racing are pissed off and at the verge of leaving it one wonders why this group is not the focus instead wasting money on ideas that have not worked.

I have made a deal with myself that the colt we got involved in at the nationals will be the last for a while as I no longer wish to be involved in a hobby that gives more frustration than pleasure. Besides the frustration it causes me to be a person that i don't like so i will give horse ownership a break.

Good luck to GC and all the people running it that have been earning salaries for years unchallenged by results.
