Whoah im not going to get into a debate about so called stable doubles but the truth is that I chose to ride both Copper and Ice and got it wrong, simple as that...Point of interest tho,the "stable double" you suggested were priced up 6/1 and 8/1 in the morning which would make the double over 60/1 so how on earth did the 2nd leg start 5/1 and not 5/10????? ..I am not looking to debate the matter any further but suffice to say that it was a bad call by me on the day as we could have ridden both winners had I read the races differently however Gav rode his 35th winner for June today so it is certainly is a game of swings and roundabouts...

Not much of agent if you dont pick up Copper had no blinkers on .Listen to interview what they fancied on the day . .Surely Bremner should have given you there best . Was Lerena not fuming after the last race .Maybe give your jockey a call and ask him a few home truths ...

Copper had run over 1200m 23 times wearing blinkers for 2 wins, once in 2013 and once in 2011 so i dont believe that the removal of the blinkers was the cause of his demise and in fact given his past record over the trip removing them was worth a try, with regard to Thrill Factor his only run for the yard on the turf was a dismal one (beaten over 10L) whilst Ice had won on the turf and then run a dismal race on the poly so as the race in question was on the turf I went with Ice, I guess we could all be geniuses with the benefit of hindsight but unfortunately we have to make the call before the race is actually run...btw spoke to Gav after races and there was no mention nor malice?? in fact he was very upbeat about the prospect of having today off to celebrate his son's 1st birthday and was looking forward to yesterday's card which was the sole topic of conversation...

7-10% of the winning stake + R500.00 riding fee.
