Tote machines could be operated by Krugger if not mistaken. This lot Krugger are major supporters of the OPEn Bet. Know of a case on New Years Day and the one branch refused to pay out a WINNING Jackpot ticket taken on the open bet because their dissemination had moved the goalposts and created a Jackpot on four races in contradiction of the fields that were displayed on the board in their branch.

To add insult the punter was questioned whether the bet was placed after the 1st leg had commenced and also why he had taken several different combination tickets as if this was against the rules.

The idiot that was responsible for this fiasco was someone Peter who is some sort of Fund Manage



Mike i know for a time they tried a jp with four different races but also offered the normal jp..it was jusy another type of bet. Whicj i dont think is an issue. Maybe the punter didnt specify which jp he wanted? And neither did he check his ticket. Like any operator using automated systems... If the system says losing ticket... Its a losing ticket mate. And no cam say u said i said etc...that is why in all betting facilities there are beeeeg disclaimer saying check tickets.
As well this does not justify them getting robbed and the poor staff traumatized and that innocent punter stabbed

Sheza to explain in plain English this is what happened........,

Punter walks into the branch and goes to the board where the fields are displayed courtesy of Free Tab Sheet. The Free Tab Sheet is the instrument of the Tote Operators and so the Jackpot races shown on that publication formed the basis of anyone taking a Jackpot whether in the Ayr or in the Bath or in a Leopards town.

Shaheen Shaw in the studio guided the public thru the 4 Jackpot legs and also gave regular updates as to how many tickets were surviving and what the final dividend would be going into the last leg.

To cut a long story short the punter placed the correct bet as per the FreeTab Sheet which said Jackpot races from Race 5/6/7/8. The bookies dissemination sent them the good news that Jackpot legs from Race 6/7/8/9. The punter taking in the selection from the Free Tab Sheet and the guidance from the Tellytrack studio via Shaheen Shaw is now mug shot because someone at dissemination who had too much cheer on New Years eve which no doubt affected their judgement as they declared the incorrect races that the Jackpot was to be paid on.

So in a comedy of errors, the tickets were taken to payout only to be told that the tickets were not winners as the last leg supposedly was still to be run.

When dissemination finally recovered from the hangover and Peter the Fund Manager had gotten over his rants and raves by accusing the punter of all sorts of would be frauds, the punter was way over the normal 120/80 bp reading and although he finally got paid a few hours later, it was a disastrous way to start the New Year IMO.

Now put yourself in any punters shoes who has to be subjected to idiosyncrasy.

Sad to hear of the patron who was injured and with the presence of some security personnel and measures in place yet the criminals are brazen to carry out these robberies.

Pray and hope that arrests are made soon and that CCTV footage of the day and previous days could lead to some positive leads.
