Ertijaal as a matter of fact at 110 will not be under sufferance at 53 kg's - but he was raised 4 points for his run in the Daily News - at 106 would have been 2 kg's under sufferance, so the question is if the DN rating using The Conglomerate as the line horse is correct, or not ....

Is Ertijaal 110 or 106 ?

I just checked his rating on formgrids , sorry they still have him 106 , should have checked above

tiger I have backed telina halve the deficit and cagiva ..telina has placed numerous times at wfa group one level and on last years july is 11kg better off with futura for alength beating so off 54kg and hopefully gavin lerena doing the weight and having been gelded the 50 to 1 was huge and the 40 to 1 still huge...halve the deficit is another who comes into the race well weighted off 54.5 and is lightly raced for a 6yo and his run last Saturday if you think futura wasgiven a soft ride then I suggest you watch halve the deficits ride which was also very soft ..cagiva well he runs sunday with striker up in the jubilee and he needs to win or run 2nd imo to qualify ..he is a very talented but seems unsound horse but he will carry 53kg in the july and his weight cant change as they are official...all 3 horses are being prepared in Gauteng for the july which I believe is a major plus and all 3 can race handy which on this new greyville track is an absolute must because no gaps are going to open to the back markers so a horse like French navy is going to need huge luck to win it......my july betting is over im happy with my eachway bets and im very confident telina and halve the deficit will get runs and hoping cagiva can do it on sunday ,,,im assuming striker will ride him or maybe halve the deficit so im very happy with myriders and trainers who know how to train july winners

Thanks for your views Pirates and for the record I will be also be watching Cagiva closely this weekend hoping that he scrapesinto the July, as he was my first bet at 55/1.

I am also in agreement with Tellina - I was just not sure that he would get a run, but with runners like No Worries and Legislate coming out, it does look like he will get in - so 40/1 also good value imo

As far as Halve the Deficit goes - yes he will also be well handicapped, but he gives me the impression that the 2200 is beyond his best trip (last year I think he also had every chance, but failed to see it out) - jockey bookings will be interesting

Frodo if there was any doubt of telina not making the final field mr woodruff would have run him in the jubilee..he is on the 2nd log which was published last week and as you say with the withdrawal of no worry and legislate and plenty flops last week I cannot see how he can fall off that log..he is a massive runner and hopefully draws better than the 15 of last year
