R1 The Duck R1 e/w at 66/1 (arm)
R2 Patty Cake but no great market confidence it would seem (too late posting so another arm lol)
R3 Bespoken. Mullins Model may be some exacta value, Mocha Blitz maybe some trifecta value
R4 Relish could have improvement and the blinkers may help, a tentative selection. Texas Cowboy should be thereabouts. Texican a small e/w if drifts. Not sure really why, just don't like Wild Namaqua today (so may be you should banker it lol)
R5 Spent a while looking at this one and though I am quite looking forward to the race, I am none the wiser as to the winner! lol Eternal Jet on the poly has been decent. Aware similarly so dropped in trip, Captain Great for a bang in form combo and a good poly debut. Others have chances if at their best, most likely Jet On Fire and Prince Of Magic. My choice in the end... Fly At Em... why... lol, primarily cos I couldn't choose between the others! This one though does have some relatively decent turf form, if he likes the poly then he could prove to be the right one. That said, it could go entirely the other way and I would rather include 2 of the first three mentioned for PA purposes (too late for the pa now too!).
R6 Hold The Line. Special Encounter a respected danger. Vavasour could be e/w value based on earlier poly form and ignoring Gauteng runs.
R7 Deputy Ryder. Think he should stay and on the runs to Peace Again I think he is the right one. PA was running on nicely from behind and gaining a little behind Bulleteer whereas DR, when taking on PA at Scottsville, also came from the back and finished much the better of the two. Indeed if the jockey had found a clearer passage then he would have gone much closer to the winner. Bulleteer respected though, especially as Lerena said the last race was not run to suit and should be better over this longer trip. The other three towards the top of the market also have fair claims. Another race I am quite looking forward to seeing.
R8 Although the huge change in odds from their meeting two runs back made me do a bit of a screaming cartoon character with eyes on coils impression lol I'll still go with Sword Storm to fight off Pena Palace.

Not a day where I will bet much but I am nevertheless more interested in viewing than is usual for me at greyville.

My hopeful P6
1 10
2 1, 2, 9
3 3, 6, 8, 12
4 1
5 1
6 1

Be(s)t of luck to all

Why do trainers run horses over a distance which is blatantly to short for them?Surely there must be more suitable races.

Blinkers go on trying to get her to jump on terms, earlier form 400-finish times not too bad but seems to leave too much work. 1600 definitely a better trip instead of the 1400 imo so if the blinkers let her jump on terms and be a bit more handy I feel she can run at them towards the end.

No good thing as the betting seems to suggest but not without an e/w chance imo.

Shield Englander is one of the more respected clanners on here, his write ups early or late are beneficial for those just taking a skim through, he doesn't necessarily have to punt all his fancies nor give anyone any confidence because of it. At the end of the day what makes a skilled punter is to listen to opinions but formulate your own.

Thanks for the late write up English, a bit gutted no idiot e/w's included today.

Good luck.
