Played a patent :-
R3) Virgo's Babe
R4) - Approval Rating
R5) - Mamasita
At the weights, No Worries should also be competitive.

Well a busy day for us at the Natal Breeders race day. We have 5 runners of which 4 are for Keith, Pauline Anne Young and Claire Antoinette Mayers. It is great that we could get all their horses that can run, qualified for this day. We start in the 2nd with The Money Man who was green under lights for the first time in his last run and Pierre did not persevere with him from the 300m mark. He is much better than that and looking forward to watching him today. Warren rode in work him and said he is a lovely horse who will improve from this and will be a really nice 3yr old. In the 4th we have our big boy in Flyfirstclass. He is dropping in class after finishing 6 or so lengths off the top sprinter in the country. He is giving weight to everyone but is well. A bit of a wait until the last where we have 3 runners. Academy Princess won a close race last time out and is well so is a must in everything. Hunger games now has blinkers on and they did seem to improve her in work. She has not been far off so hoping for a good run. Nights on Broadway was moving up last time out and the apprentice dropped his reins and she decided that she had obviously done enough. She is better than where she ran. Due to the conditions of the races, we have had to use apprentices that cannot claim in these races as very very few jockeys can do 50kgs. Maybe something for the authorities to look at for next year. Come and enjoy a great days racing at Greyville in the last meeting in Kwazulu-Natal before the biggest and best race in Africa next Saturday in The Vodacom July Handicap.

9 years 11 months agoThe R1m KZN breeders Million Mile is todays feature at Greyville, ran over 1600m on the turf .
On paper and current form it looks a very good opportunity for Bezanova .
Alec Laird`s 4yo has saved his best form for the Greyville turf during his career. Most recently when a fast finishing 3rd to Legislate (beaten under 1L on level terms) in the Rising Sun Challenge .
The draw could be his biggest obstacle

this breeders day meeting has been very poorly supported and if they had any brains they would move it to scotsville next year..not one race on the card has the maximum amount of runners and obviously zero reserve runners...go and look at last years meeting held at clairwood where every race bar one had maximum fields ..its bad for natal breeders, the owners ,and also the punters the fare that has been put on today and its a week before the biggest meeting of the year and the last local meeting before it takes place....poor poor planning....in the old days the meeting one week before the july was the gilbeys held at pmb and then during the week you had a meeting at greyville and it certainly got everyone going especially the old gilbeys rothmans july double bet that was on offer on the tote..

R2, Chosen Dash, see this horse is carded to run in R12 on July Day.
For me here's the dilemma, is Chosen Dash having a full go today at a first purse of R 125 000, or prepping for July Day's purse of R 625 000.00 - or is he that good to win both in a space of 6 days?
Admittedly the prize money for running a place in either is still good, but not a good dilemma for the punters me thinks.
Better you than me.
