The poor horse was probably feeling it' s legs or had some niggles but very much doubt if Voltaren will give it a sreoid boost IMHO as the drug is an NSAID.

Being saying for years ...........there should be 2 very different offences :
1)racing a horse whilst still under the effects of medication
2) racing horses with blatant performance enhancing substances

It will stop the perception that every offence is an attempt to dope,which certainly doesn't do the industry any good ..........................even many clanners lump the 2 together and that is wrong IMO !

The IFHA, of which SA is a member, have made the distinction and now have a zero tolerance policy towards the use of "doping" drugs as compared to Screening Limits for "therapeutic" medications. It is all contained in article 6 of IFHA 2015 Agreement which is difficult for the laymen like myself to understand and I notice SA are signatories to Article 6A and 6B but not to 6C, 6D and 6E. Maybe you can make head and tail of it, worth a read.
