Don just some extra info on Number 8 Storm Warning. Its dam Olympic Storm was a full brother to Gold Cup winner Thundering Star....Olympic Duel was one of my favorites horses in the 90's but a bold statement to make that it was the best bred filly in the 4 decades. Do you have any info on Olympic Duels Dam, Maksha, if she was a "blue hen" cos she also produced the July winner Dancing Duel. Thanks.
8. STORM WARNING . 135 lb
5-Y-O gelding by JET MASTER: 3rd dam is Olympic Duel, best SAF bred filly of the past 4 decades! Ran in some top-class performances between February and June 2014 in Jhb, on 2 occasions showing merit equal to the grand stayer Seal. First 6 starts as a 5-Y-O were way below par.
To quote trainer Dominic Zackey “He is a big, good-looking son of Jet Master who has loads of ability but right up until March this year was having trouble with his wind. We did a wind op in March and gave him a pipe-opener in June over 1800m at Turffontein. Then on 9 July we ran him over 3000 metres at Turffontein. He won as he liked by 5 lengths under Craig Zackey.
“This horse has top-class ability. I would like to think that the wind op has sorted him out.”
An unknown factor. Include in all exotics.

If using a similar analogy like Futura vs Power King (Met and then weight difference in July), it's difficult seeing Wild One finishing ahead of Hot Ticket on last year's result. Similarly, it's difficult seeing Hot Ticket finishing ahead of Disco Al at the weight turn around on their last meeting.
Disco Al had one try at the distance about two years back, and failed dismally. He did have Wavin' Flag behind him that day. His last two runs tend to suggest he'll appreciate the extra, how much extra, only the race will tell, but I don't think Ramsden would have run him if he didn't believe he'll get the 3200m.
Not the most water tight argument, but I'll take my chances.
Disco Al is a half brother to Gold Cup winner Jeppes Reef whose sire Jallad had a breathing problem so the stamina is definitely coming from the dam side.
