delicious dam was once a 80mr so whether he has improved or not racing off a 66 is open to debate

maybe polytrack racing is for lesser class animals to shine.....this horse left Woodie as a maiden....now has 2 wins on poly and a 2nd to Gumbi on the former goat track....

OK Thanks......................I try to ,because it has given me some of my better bets ............when I'm right! ;) ...........but obviously for me ,the only line I have,is to take from some other race, same course and distance and same day,and I use that as my (provisional)guide and then adjust as more data becomes available.
Do you (or open to anybody else please) know what the basic methodology is used to rate 2 yr olds by the official handicappers(I know they do although not published)
I've often wondered what they use as their line!

Muhti, don't you think that is inevitable (but not necessarily general enough to have different ratings) ..............a bit like the horses for courses principle................A great example was Archangel, who never beat Gatecrasher on a left hand track but never lost to him on a right hand one, while they battled it out for 3yr old supremacy..............similarly some actions must be better suited to Poly than others!
(what would be interesting would be for the handicappers to also code the poly and turf ratings differently within the existing ratings,so that when there is adequate data they could see whether in fact there is sufficient difference to rate separately!)
