Do you Clanners remember how SONG FROM SEATTLE was backed down last time out. Has Louis G said anything??? Can a Clanner lend a helping hand????

The thing I am enjoying most about studying this card ,is the knowledge that trying to guess what might enjoy the sand ,is coming to an end soon :woohoo:

For obvious reasons, caution advised!

R1 Poor looking race open to an upset but I can't see which so I think it might come down to a fight between Elusive Seven and Jahunda. Although ES has finished just over 1l ahead of the latter over 1450 on the turf, the latter has had a run on the surface and appeared to be running on ok over 1000, this d should probably suit better, he has the stronger positives for me regarding breeding and the better draw. Jahunda x Elusive Seven.

R2 Supanova has had 2 fair turf runs and was heavily supported on debut. He is a full brother to the fairly useful sand performer Mogok's Desire. Some value could be with Song From Seattle, would have been both LG and Striker's only interest on the day and was heavily supported on debut. Mendoza's Melody was 1.3l ahead of Magic lto. SUPANOVA x Song From Seattle

R3 Arrive At Five has had two consecutive lengthy breaks and a difficult draw in 11, a watch for me. She's A Flirt has a positive in the breeding, fair recent turf form, a decent enough draw and should have no problem with the d. A Love Supreme. though disappointing lto, might be staying on from the 2 box while others start to flounder (assuming the going is heavy rather than standard again... standard, what a farking joke you people are) and could be some e/w and/or exacta value. Saxon Leader will get R1 e/w... wouldn't be the first time a Spies runner has failed at Bingo only to seemingly prefer the Vaal sand. SHE'S A FLIRT x Supreme Leader

R4 Master 'N Commander has decent turf form and good breeding indicators for the sand. M n C x Wellesley

R5 Mystic Tigress won well over 1450 last time here and the extra should prove no problem, well drawn in 3. MT x Escudo

R6 Have questions against plenty so will go with Fort Eagle whose breeding suggests he will go on the surface and jumps from 2. Wary of King And Empire who will be a big danger imo if taking to the surface, just not convinced of that. FE x Proud As Punch

R7 Tiger Hotspur has not really shown too much on this c to date but a return to some form lately on the turf might bring about better here too, the 1 box will be a big help. TH x Francois P

R8 Madame Alexis from the 2 box much respected but at the prices I'd rather chance Jellylorum e/w, could go well on the sand on breeding and a fair draw in 4... Jellylorum x MA

Trying a small double on Supanova x She's A Flirt

Be(s)t of luck to all

Thanks Englander.
If I were to have a bet today (and I might still do), it will be Supanova.

pretty sure that Springs Wonder has a chance and isn't just making up the field
Her runs in shorter sand races have been fairly consistent and has run on over longer distances on turf
Will end up with an ideal place price by race time

Playing it very cautious today and am only having one bet that of river empress to place top 4 in rc 2. That is all. Watch them swap Lerena (main reason I'm punting this horse that and the money) for some relatively unknown apprentice now lol, hope that doesnt happen though.
