I think that Gatlin knew that Bolt was coming up to him and lunged very early looking for the line...unbalanced him the last 5-10 m and lost momentum / stride / rhythm and that was the tiny slowing down that enabled Bolt to get up on the line...great race with dead-heat for 3rd a bit behind front two...

Athletics really needed Bolt to win...
