....then why did they not say so at yesterdays track inspection.....of the 2 jocks that were at the track inspection have only 4 rides between them....the senior of the two has one ride only......something really not adding up.....and the trainer at the inspection has only 5 carded runners and none withdrawn with the switch of surface......seems that the tail is wagging the dog
.....I think the operator Phumelela is being played... and they should launch a proper investigation and get a more representative team for all future track inspections.....
.....I really feel for those owners and trainers that could have benefitted nominating to get the best of the grass now being middled along with us long suffering clueless punters.....

Dont care what they say or see about grass track .The amount of water patches laying all over the course and the tractor marks left on the grass from the starting gates is a bloody disgrace .Passerini thinks he is MR Phumelela and above the law
.No way would the jockey have ridden on the grass today

Problem is if they had abandoned at the weekend then they would have got it in the neck for calling off too early ( no rain forecast)

R1 Hasty Kitten e/w
R2 Whinking Casanova x Sun Never Sleeps x Balado
R3 Me thinks Shams fortunate with the switch and the draw, Elegant Gent must have a big chance now. Rave King (all over Memphis lto) and Wild Night Out (huge finish from half-a-furlong back on debut lto, same race) still to be right there though imo.
R4 Symbolik
R5 Bride's Dowry e/w Rushing Elf R1
R6 Copper Parade x Vauclair
R7 Rustic Romance e/w
R8 All the money for the other Greeff runner, Silent Rush, who I have in my first three along with Sexy And Free, but I also like the chances of Netsuke plenty, original Cheyne pick (though who knows what games are played) and seemingly better suited to the poly... interesting that Cheyne would opt for it over SR, even on the turf. Money says otherwise but Netsuke for me.
Hasty Kitten and Netsuke with the joker would have been my comp picks but the market here currently is a very powerful, at least, "mental" force at times. Nope, I can't blame bookies for not pricing up PE early.
Be(s)t of luck to all

I missed out on Silent Rush at 20-1, not worth a punt now....
Race 2, Momentous eway at 10-1....
