Wasn't a "hi-technology" box in those days was there? Pretty sure the volume would have been turned on in Nottingham though! lol

The umpire was Kitchen I think. Has a tattoo of the red rose on his chest and one with the words made in England around his belly button

@DTF... seen the replay posted by Bob on the AF thread started by Raceover... no denying, looks a particularly "odd" ride on the second. As with many things, I am no expert, and I often think AF is not riding as "vigorously" as others, how much is his "style" and how much is suspect I am not qualified to say but, as a punter I would say he gives the impression he is not getting everything from a horse too often for my personal liking. That would be my feeling here and if I had backed the horse, I would defo be looking for the authorities to be providing punters with an "explanation" and if it continued, strong action would need taking. About time it was dealt with like a cricketer's bowling action... if it isn't "this or that", ban it.

That said, and in fairness, I also think he rides in a very similar way and looks mighty impressive when cruising to victory sometimes, when he does that he often looks, to this untrained eye, the best jock in SA by a country mile.

Well done today to all.

I was super busy in back to back meetings. I had one bet and it was with the following

Salinger
Happy Lion
Strong Man Sam
Money Grubber

All to win

250/45000

I was not surprised to see the shortest price Snaith horse run unplaced. For forty five grand though --can I ask who rode?
