Terrible news, and he was riding at the top of his game. Will be missed by the punters and a great loss in the jockey ranks.
We all wish you well and thanks for the many winners and memorable moments.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Sean suffers from a form of epilepsy ,mild, but enough to be very dangerous when riding a horse or driving a car.
Fantastic person and a top jock, very sad to see him go out is this manner from the sport we all love.
One can only hope he has as much success in his new future endeavours in life.

My greatest memory of Sean Riding was at the best course in kzn- Clairwood....
I caught a quartet (bankered him to win)... He rode The Flying Machine... I still remember it was a Sunday afternoon and he was riding no 11... He came through the middle of the pack to mow them down.... I got 67% of the qtet and it paid R108k.... One of my most memorable days in punting...
He will be missed on the racing scene, and hopefully, with gods help and our prayers, he will be back to good health and looking after his family.....

awful news. Sean was a great jockey. Always remember him steering Beach Beauty to victory countless times and of course my favourite, MasterOfMyFate.
