i see the reason Domeyer has given for not riding today is that he is riding in cape town!! Honestly it seams that trainers and jockeys can make up any excuse to get off commitments. What about the public that see him on the horse and go for it based on him riding then you get a replacement who hasnt won a race in years. Last friday Robert Khathi was bragging on a interview that he picked up the winning chance ride as Domeyer had flight issues and he was bragging that he doesnt fly he drives or in his words if push came to shove he takes a bus... monday he didnt ride and his excuse on nhra site was flight complications. Honestly this bad control is not fair on punters.

Simple fix - either suspend for one meeting or fine riding fees for mounts missed. There are genuine problems that do occur but if you have committed and the problems were there when you accepted then you ride what you have been carded for BEFORE worrying about what you need to ride the next day. It's like booking a plumber to do work for you on Monday and then he says he can't help you because he has another job on Tuesday.NHRA should get tough as there are no excuses - Funny when jocks are going for titles they can travel almost everyday for months for rides.

very true Mr H, but when they are stood down they get 48 hour suspension but when they use flight complications then they are allowed to ride the next day.On friday Aldo used flight complications otherwise he wouldnt have been allowed to ride silver mountain. Its the same as every monday in flamingo park when trainers use no transport as reason for scraching, that means they can run the horse days later if they found a better race and if they said not eating up then i think the horse is suspended for 12 days. We have no police/stipes anymore. It has become a game of dog eats dog, everyone for themselves.

Race 1 Burfi i remember the sire tropical empire that was trained by Michael Roberts, i am almost certain that he liked the soft conditions and won first time out around this time of the year. i give Burfi a huge chance

CAUSE CELEBRE is perhaps long at 8-1. Jumps from 2 and was not disgraced on debut when green behind NIKKI who ran close to a Graded placed horse in a subsequent race. Found a touch from 25 to 16 on debut. Massive runner for me.
