Not so sure about Monarch Air being luckless or poor decision making by the jockey. The jocks initial intention was always to come to the middle of the track, that was pretty obvious, then decides to switch in which resulted in his mount clipping heels.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Feel the same, didn't see the need to try and switch it in but I'm not a jockey I'm sure he had his reasons.

On a lighter note, that was a classic interview by the owner, 'I bought it because I was tipsy trying to impress my girlfriend' :lol:

That was a classic response by the winning owner - moral of the story, liquor does have it's advantages other than getting pissed.
