R3, Jane S Piddy (4/1 HW - 5/1 BW), if she runs remotely close to her rating of 85, she will put this field away. The joint 5/2 favourites, Star Academy (MR79) and Waity Katie (MR 83), I don't believe are running close to those ratings, as such, I will take them on with JSP.
The double with Honest Ally in the last is worth a go.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 2 - I like Great Expectations here. Similar profile to New Caledonia earlier at the Vaal. Drier fancied it to run a good one on debut, from USO comments, and it did. Watching the replay, it moved up at one stage looking ready to challenge before tiring. Again, will come on from that and must be a fair shout in this field. This is Sparta has already come out to win from the form and finished in a similar position.
Danger is Cape Arrow as the rest may have done him well.Orion Quest for me is far too lean at 7/10 and I'd rather take 4/1 about Great Expectations with Bernard up. Will take the double with The Secret is Out in the first as well.

Race 2. The obvious 2 are Orion Quest and All Magic. Improvers to watch are Tizsmoke Tizfire, Great Expectations and Cape Arrow.
Race 3. We have Sun at Midnight running. She returns from a long break due to a joint injury, and will need this run. She is a smart sort, and if she comes through this race well is one to follow over more ground.
Race4. Sun Power is a banker.
Race 5. We have Dance in the Woods here with a paper weight. If the apprentice can keep her going into the expected headwind, then she has an ew shout in an open contest.
Race 6. Stratocruiser is overdue for a win and may get it right here.
Race 7. We have Blarney Bay running. Wide draw, and he is better suited to the short run in. He is fit and well and always gives of his best, but has a tough task at the weights. Kingvoldt has been frustrating to follow, but is very well in here and should win. The Crawford coupling should be respected.
Race 8. Honest Ally will be a popular banker and has good form. I would add Belle of Croom in the exotics- she will be competitive.

We confident but you never know how that first race can go. Showing very good work at home.
Her mother came 4th first time out but did have a lung issue on the day and then won 2nd time out. But 'The Secret is Out's' brother 'Secret Command' & sister 'All is Secret' won first time out.
We also been really pleased with 'Mega Secret's' runs. Total opposite of the siblings as we think he will get 2000m and the Cape Derby was the aim. But we've had to be patient due to the poor first year of his life on the stud farm. Was an absolute wreck of nerves and the horseman that Paddy Kruyer is has got him in really good shape.
The yearling sister 'Best Kept Secret' will be at CTS1 in just over a week's time.

I am having only one bet today:
Race 4: No. 4 Rock on Geordies
This horse was heavily supported last time.
Rock on Geordies: Very disappointing last time out. Brought him back to 1400, which should suit him better. With the way he is working, I would include him in all perms.
