Was just guessing Mr a , I know in the day it was less common for jocks to travel
In the 70's Basil Marcus, Michael Roberts and Robbie Sham travelled to Bulawayo for the Sunday rides.

All your super jocks were riding on the day when an appie rode them to sleep to win the million dollar race...

Therefore I totally disagree on your lesser jock Theory.

I think not (stand to be corrected)
Still, credit to him, these days don't come often
None were that he won with, but his ride in the 1st opened 6/1, Intergallactic opened 7/2, so SP no but First show yes. Well done to khumalo on a brilliant performance, the treble was 16/1 at 07:15am, the 1st show double was 25/1 first and last, Quad 40/1 at anytime, I didn't include Buckland and his ride on the Trippi. Like some of you I had one of the greatest days yet and I owe it to a spectacular bunch of rides from Khumalo.

whilst we on the topic of winnings, I know of a few guys ON ABC that cleaned up yesterday (most in excess of 30k and one that I know of, in excess of 100k).
My humble request....please don't give it away carelessly rather build on the winning slowly but surely. Days like yesterday does not come easily so be careful.

Gavin managed 11 in 3 days and 15 in that week last season but 9 in 2 days is top class under any circumstances.
Give everything but up!

In general I think that comparing jocks is a futile exercise .....we all have our opinions and I respect yours ......but yes I am saying that had the other top jocks been around I doubt whether he would have ridden 6.... and one could argue that the 'appie' in the Million Dollar was on the best horse.......but having stated the above, of course it was a great feat to ride 6 on a day so well done to him
