No only Summerveld but GC had offered free transport for anyone wanting to come and work on the Summerveld track.

how difficult would it be to get an answer from the trainers involved if they intend running their horses or not?yes I know that horses can get an injury or pick up a virus etc overnight but there are plenty people out there whose lives are affected if they do race or not....

Some proper waffle and personal opinion on this thread. The bottom line is you either trust the poly or you don't. Run or scratch. Let's give credit where credit is due. Gold Circle have an alternate choice. Johannesburg and Cape Town do not.

I personally think they should give the trainers/owners 2 hours to decide if they are running or not and then everyone knows where they stand.

Trainers & owners seem to have decided..... and without too much "waffle", the Horse always comes first
POLY is not an alternative in KZN it is the main surface of racing....what a joke

Interesting the different views on this track. Had the opportunity to talk to an assistant to one of the top trainer's in SA and he said his boss would never scratch because of the change of surface and in fact welcomed it as it was far more consistent than grass and although as expected they do get injuries they are fewer and less severe as grass. Another 5 cents worth.

Still raining in PMB since Monday almost non stop.
Has to be good for the dams. I am hoping the Howick area has had similar rainfall
