Craig Eudey

A busy day at Greyville today with 7/8 runners. We start in the 2nd with Blue beach who has had 4 really nice runs including winning her last 2 in a row and the last with a very courageous win from behind annd getting through half an opening. She is well again and expect another good run. If Academy Princess( an emergency acceptor) gets a run I expect her to be up there as well. She will prefer the 1600m. In the 3rd we have Night Lock who was just too far off them last time out when running on well. If he can be positioned a bit better he is a must in everything. In the 4th we have Flyfirstclass. There are very few races for a horse with his MR and so we have had to take our chances here even with this huge weight. We have claimed 4kgs in an effort to get that down but then obviously you are not going to have an experienced jockey up. It was either run here or stand in the box. If all goes well for Lyle he is a very big runner and is a must in everything. We then go to the 7th where we have 3 runners who are all drawn badly but it is the right race and we are hoping to see improvemant from them here. In the last we have Carlin and he showed a lot of pace and improvement in his last race and hoping to see more again. He is extremely fit and lets hope he is right up there again as he does have a mind of his own sometimes! Have a great days racing.

R1 Golden Earings to edge it from L'Attitude. Back In Town trifectas.
R2 Ethylene decent e/w value imo but if she does not fire then expecting Blue Beach (nap) to win cosily. Money Penny trifectas.
R3 Fairly open looking contest but I like the run of Born To Rule lto and think he will go one better. Strategic's Pride the main danger for me, Winter Heir trifectas. At longer odds, French Mark could surprise, ok recent efforts despite coughing while Dublin Rebel debuts for the Hill yard from a decent draw, something he has not had in Gauteng in his last few outings, could be the joker in the pack with the in form de Melo up.
R4 Open but Silence Descends from National Key for me.
R5 Always have utmost respect for Bayern's comments but I really don't think SB has beaten that much. That said, not saying he won't win because I actually felt that about the entire field! Maybe I was just reading it all wrong. Anyway, would have preferred the opening price but I'll have an interest in Marchant in the hope he brings his CT form to the course.
R6 At the prices, I'll chance an e/w on Mr Royal who might enjoy a return to the turf and to this track where he has won on 2 of 4 visits, including last time here when returning from a 19 week break with the likes of Pirogue behind. Has won on the Greyville turf from draws of 2 and 5 and, not so surprisingly, has run unplaced from draws of 13 and 15. Today he has a useful box of 3 and the appie gives him a nice weight. Last two on poly something of a concern as better than that on that surface but worth overlooking and well worth chancing at the price imo. Winter Auralius has a mare of a draw but has gone well from them before and could be a real danger while Pirogue and Sovereign Reign could make up the quartet :)
R7 South Paw
R8 Smart World (nb)

Be(s)t of luck to all

Dangerous to disagree with Bayern these days but the best handicapped,on the day on my ratings is Ole Gunner in the 5th 'His last 2 runs were at an average of 97 which gives him a 5 lgth edge over this field IF HE REPRODUCES???

Maximum Win Patent Tanjiro x Team Guys x Reactive. For the record, do not have Shimmering Brook in top 4.

Lurkers I like are Zagora, Impact Zone, Turquoise Water.

Good to see the Human stable chancing their arm on a KZN raid
