Years ago Greg Cheyne went up to ride for the Mdk stable i think it only lasted a couple of months

One lives in Melkbos ,one has a yard in Philippi and that's 65 Km drive per day one way.That was the biggest stumbling block for RF.
Just think of his win % on Snaith vs Marcus ....will be way higher from Snaith than any other retainer amount that another stable will pay.
And then off course there's fishing that gets in the way of work!
Once RF has settled down this season and sees how not green the grass can be maybe there will be a different mindset next season.Only time will tell....

Fourie got 6 for Snaith on Saturday,only 1 for Marcus out of Marcus 5 runners.
