First race doesn't lend itself to a play, like most of today's races.
Miss Minver, looks a good sort and having lost lengths and raced green last time out, has scope for improving on that.
From a financial investment perspective, all the money on that horse cannot really be considered "smart" can it? Investment is about maximizing ROI?

I think the key is to at least make a return

Thats not so easy in the long term, with the best handicappers striking at 35%, there's no sense investing R25,000 to get a 10% return -- given that racing uncertainties can easily undo even that 10%.

Despite all the money for Lee's Star, I still think Rand Hedge is the right one.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Should see the double here. It will take something decent to beat RH, the only possibility was checkthegreenlight # but RH may prove too much for a first time out.
