I think Pride Rock in race 1 could be the right one here

Also fancy this one, mainly because of the draw
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

But then surely Marinaresco did it the hard way too? 2nd or 3rd last turning for home in a big field - cruised to the front then seemed to tire a bit but still won with authority. Distance short of his best, remember his finish in the Derby. Coming off a 3 month layoff while whisky baron was racing fit all plays a factor. Sure he'll be fitter today and love the extra but one thing against him is the short run in I give you that.
I think Vilakazi will be a big threat too, with a better draw than last time.
The form tells me that Paladin was a length behind Marinaresco in the Derby in January - on the new course - now today it' s of course the old course, and Paladin from draw 3, is going to make them come and catch him - not saying he will beat the favorite, but at 16/1 vs 6/10, its clear where the value lies

On debut ,Wiliam Longsword is best horse in the race but would be cautious that the way he ran might see him still in need of experience. So agree Pride rock or Studiolo could do the job.
If Marinesco was in the Daily News against those better horses I would be taking some of what would be a good price so have no doubt he will do the job here all being equal.
Surely chevauchee will live up to the hype today?
Think place bets on Double whammy, eighth wonder and supercilious all look attractive at the moment.

Race 4: Not much difference in exposed form all of numbers 1-4. Price on the favourite unappealing. We have Silver Laurel running - she is improving steadily with racing, but has a poor draw. If she can settle in properly, then with further natural improvement she could again earn a cheque.

Race 6: Goodtime Gal and Captains Flame renew rivalry, and there is little to choose between them. Anglet ran a fair race when needing it last time, and should be much closer this time. Selection:5/2/1
Race 7: Marinaresco won well last time and should follow up here, from Whiskey Baron and Vilakazi. Eighth Wonder on best form is a threat, but is unreliable. We have an optimistic entry in Shall be Free- he is well held at the weights, but is still improving, but am not expecting a miracle today.
