However,Bookies are still betting on her for the July,so be cautious.

I find this 'strategy' questionable to say the least - if they know that they are planning to go the Tibouchina / Garden Province route, why not just take the horse out of the July - this is a filly with a very high profile, and at some stage was quite short in the ante-post betting - now I accept the risks associated with Ante-Post betting, but surely the 'right' thing to do (in order not to drag the mage of racing through the mud again) is to take her out (and I also accept that it's the connections prerogative to do what is in their best interests) - but of course we are only a lot of mugs complaining about everything

Christmas Carol and Witchcraft are dark horses in the Woolavington.

If Samurai Blade overcomes the draw, it will win.

Bela Bela and Nightingale should fight out the Woolavington, but strong preference for Nightingale.

Anyone know what's the reason for no Black Arthur in the Daily News?

I would think that they are sure of getting into the July, and don't want to risk a bump up in the weights.

They must believe that he is a better horse than a 106 and that they have nothing to gain (except stakes) by running in the Daily News - and it is probably the right decision; if Legal Eagle runs he will be under sufferance off a 106, but if they think he is better than that, all is ok ....and if LE does not run he will not be under sufferance.....but if he did run (and won) in the DN, he might have gone up in MR and then if LE came out, he would have gone up in the weights, so nothing to lose and possibly something to gain?

If that is the case and he does get into the July which I assume he will, then his chances must go up tenfold. I'm not a merit rating expert but I think he's way higher than a 106 - should be closer to Abashiri's 117 in my books. So what weight would he potentially come in off? 53? Anywhere near that weight and he's almost a banker for me.

Would be interesting to see where Marinaresco comes in as well.

The Snaiths know their business but I always get a cringy feeling when trainers want to avoid a G1 because they don't want to get a weight penalty in a future race. So much can go amiss in this game. If they said it was just not part of his program, or he needed more recovery, or even that his draw was crap, I wouldn't have this ominous feeling that sods law was eyeing out my July betting slip and laughing.
