Tigershark, didn't cost GC like you say or did they make money out of it?

Where did i say it cost GC that Craig???
Whomever paid Royal R200 000 must have a reason, i just cant see the reason, no TV rights & nothing to do with horse racing....
Maybe you should temper your automatic defense of GC and actually read what is written.

"I am still confused as to why you would want to go to great expense to put on an Air Show for a horseracing event" That is what you wrote. Only GC can put on a horse racing event at Greyville. "an Air Show FOR a horseracing event". Sorry if that is not what you meant but that is the way it reads.

SO it clearly cannot mean that the Company who did pay could have gone to great expense to put on an airshow for a racing event? You stick to your assumptions and totally disregard what is actually written.
Anyway Craig, you carry on blindly defending the indefensible, good luck with that. It is amazing however that you never answer on behalf of GC when issues of conflict of interest & ethics are concerned.
I am a current colour holder & GC member so why were GC not just transparent in the cost related to the air show to begin with. Surely they would have been proud to announce that a company was willing to sponsor the airshow at great expense? Or is there a valid reason not to disclose this?
Either way i have no interest in debating this with you any longer.

Tigershark it was 2different events. Racing started late so as to accommodate the airshow. Neither had anything to do with each other except I am sure they hoped some would stay on and watch racing but as I said they were 2different events run by 2 different company's so why would GC need to be transparent about the costs? There were not any to them only income derived from leasing out the venue etc. It was advertised in the media etc that Greyville was the venue. What else should they do. It was not their event.

This air show was organized by Avcom...........
I Suggest you all have a look at the French pilot who took part and then maybe you will all calm down...
