5 x horses need jockeys, herewith my wish list:

Rabada = Striker
St Tropez = Superman
Samurai Blade = Bling
The Conglomerate = Derek David (Would be a smart move by Brugmann and co.)
Saratoga Dancer = JP van der Merwe (Won the J&B Met, has got the BMT)

My Guess:

Rabada- Scratched for KZN Breeders
St Tropez- Marcus
Samurai Blade- R Danielson
Conglomerate- Striker
Saratoga Dancer- C Murray
Trophy Wife- Bling

The more I watch that, the more I am impressed with St Tropez run after a long layoff. Got a few hits, but was not punished.

If one of the Howells runners win, I'll give up punting forever.

Zero chance they have

Theoretically only 5 horses nor under sufferance - including Abashiri (could be argued that he is not really a 117 :unsure: ) - so the top weights are much better 'in' than other years - so I would not rely too much on stats regarding how many top weights have won in past years.

The problem is (as Pirates eluded to somewhere) is that one can not take the ratings as cast in stone - the trick is that horses like Ten Gun Salute and even Saratoga Dancer has maybe run to much better that their current official ratings - and horses like Black Arthur, Marinaresco, Its My Turn and Bele Bela may be able to improve on their current ratings - which would mean that although they appear to be under sufferance at first glance, in reality they may not be :unsure:

But if one take the ratings as gospel - all bar French Navy, Abashiri, Mac de Lago, Master Sabina and Solid Speed need to run above their rating to win this :ohmy:
