Looks a lot less competitive than on the weekend....thoughts:

R1: Fearless Fred should prove hard to beat - form of penultimate run looks fair and there does not seem to be any support for s first timer - Zohar possibly the only danger imo - Duke of Edenburgh has not shaped at this track, but could find the first 3 in this small field and Mexican Sun needs to show more

R2: No race on ratings - Negroamara would need to run lengths below her best to get beat - Miss Turbo looks to have plenty of improvement to come and could challenge Querari Falcon for 2nd

R3: Tambalang ran well last time when possibly needing the run (steel shoes) - looks the proverbial penalty kick here, unless The REd List can improve with blinkers - Aria has scope for improvement so can place - same comment applies to Cidada who may need more ground to show her best

R4: Seven single another who looks hard to beat - 2nd place to be fought out by Gain Ground and Hypothermic

R5: More competitive - Mr Mulliner runs well this trip and should be right there, Apple Crumble has breathing issues, but could win if those have been sorted - Holy Joe and Shotgun Rider not to be ignored

R6: Tough fillies' handicap - Pool Party much better than last run and looks value; Crystal Glamour has some class but need to overcome the draw and Future Fantastic look well weighted - most of the others have some chance

R7: I think both Spring Hills and Slide Show have potential and could prove too good for their elders - Spring Hills may make the 3 kg advantage count

R8: Wanted Man the obvious one, but Surf's Up made up lots of ground after a slow start on debut - could surprise if overcoming the draw

Enjoy B)

I mean, Negroamaro ran behind Bela-Bela and QF may have won a grade 1 but I think that was far from a grade 1 field, more closer to Gr 3 IMO.

So unless Negroamaro is severely unfit and using this as a sole prep, I don't see her getting beat.

Pace decides a race...not weights!

I would say that a combination of pace and weights decide a race :P

Must say that I thought Negraomara would be in front with QF doing the chasing - especially seeing that N has been effective with front-running tactics before - perhaps they are trying to teach her to settle better - would be interesting to see the tactics next time out.
