Ok, for the desperate .....

R1: Gold Medalist looks the right one, but not at that price :ohmy: Red Renegade better than penultimate and first 2 runs not that bad - tries blinkers and can feature in this moderate maiden field; not sure about the first timer - does not seem fancied ?

R2: Danza has at least earned his rating and should go close again - Rightful King was quite impressive when winning his debut and could still prove better than rated - British Royale won a Novice plate last time - looks a tough horse to pass when in front, but may have something to find at the weights

R3: Guessing game here - first timer Raydaveric seems to be finding support, but is bred for more ground on the dam's side, Carve the Turkey on his first run could be the right one

R4: Guessing game round 2 - both Orchid Island and Flamingo Vlei are by Silvano, so both should be at best over further, Burundi Bush was beaten in her first run by a filly now campaigning at Flamingo, while Claremorris also does not inspire a lot of confidence either; Third Dan is finding some support but also does not seem to bred for sprinting - maybe Fortysecond Street will be the joker in the pack

R5: Not a lot between Daspoort, Rafa, Cannes and All Night Flight with Just Africa also in the mix

R6: Fillies and Mares handicap, Allegorical has some good form at this course and will hopefully be coming from behind today - looks real good value imo at 12/1; another that could surprise is Ntoma, who has come down a lot tn the ratings - jockey booking does seem strange, but if not today, I think she will go close next time off a similar rating; Finding Alice comes back after a break, but looks well in so could go close if not needing the run too much; Wukkin Up and Save the Day probably can't be ignored either

R7: Another Fillies and Mares handicap and again many with chances; Chartwell has the draw, but has been without a win in 655 days; Our Miracle is often thereabouts but comes from a wide draw; Wind Chill probably worthy favorite after beating subsequent winner Miss Turbo in the maidens; Might As Well also beat subsequent winners when winning her maiden and may have had excuses last time - looks fair value at 15/1

R8: Hard to look past Crown Court - got going late in her debut effort and with natural improvement should prove hard to beat.

@ Frodo, based on your write up regards R2, British Royale may well be the right one despite conceding weight to both Rightful King and Danza. My reasoning, Rightful King might need the run, and Danza may prefer slightly further. British Royale should be racing fit, and like you said, could be difficult to overhaul once in front.

Watching the 2nd at race speed it looked like the winner hampered Shivering Sea badly

Head on shows nothing whatsoever happened, think she was spooked by a worm
