I see there is only 1 horse from a single figure draw in the 10 yen on the bookies boards for the big race

Race 4 TRIP TEASE , looks the one to beat
Race 5 SEATTLE SINGER , not far off being a top class Juvenile, very consistent, looks hard to beat
Race 6 THE STONE THROWER , reported not to be striding out last time after looking all over the winner
Race 7 CHEPARDO, could be well drawn (if the experts are correct about the high draw) , would probably prefer slightly further but there is a strong pace assured and he will be staying on at them

Race 7 - Irish Pride 16/1
Have always liked this fella and he's won twice for me. Distance is perfect for him and he has a nice turn of foot when asked. I think he can be very competitive here and 16/1 is a good price to have a little go.
Others I like are Arctica, Lunar Approach and Awesome Adam. Initially I was going to have 3 against the field but I've decided to just have a bet on Irish Pride and enjoy 28 horses spread out across the track

Welcome and thank you for joining us today. This is the Vaal Racecourse’s big meeting for the year and we look forward to a fun filled and successful day together. It is also the start of our journey with World Sports Betting, who have elected to sponsor the LGRS Team and we welcome them aboard
The rain is very late this year and since the demise of the sand course, we have been forced to race on turf up here, through the winter. The surfaces have been very firm and not all horses could handle it. Over the last 3 months, we have not used the firm turf for gallops at all. This means that all of our runners today, come in straight off training track work (first timers) and off their form (raced runners).
The above simply means that some of our runners may be slightly short of a gallop (need the run) and that some of the first timers will be green.
In a nutshell, today is the start of our Season, due to late/no rains. We have to get our horses to the racetrack. It is also a day which we started planning for some 3 months ago.
Attached, please find our comments on our runners. Overall, it’s a tough day with big fields and big debates on the draws. Let’s hope that we get our name on the board somewhere on the day.
Be happy, have fun and enjoy the day!
Best Regards
Louis Goosen
