Lawful Leader, the Kimberley horse owned by Slack and trained by P Miller won 8 races in a year as well. As you mentioned, Hear The Drums, he broke I think the great Sentinel's record. Sentinel won 8 races as a 3yo as well when he was 4yo according to archives.

Naresh ,I think Sentinel's was in a season ,rather than a calender year-I'm assuming the question is specifically as asked??
I forgot about Lawful Leader TBH ......my excuse is I don't call "sand" racing !! :P

Native Dancer won 9 from 9 as a two-year-old(you will be hard pressed to find a SA horse running 9 times as a two-year-old if it shows ability) and retired 21 wins from 22 starts....

Going through some of the top horses I read in South Africa. A 2yo filly named, Kings Pact, also has a race named after her won the Clairwood Winter Handicap (Mainstay/Champions Cup) as a 2yo. In fact in the same year in 1953, she won 12 races. Sentinel, I see won 10 races in 1973 going through archives that I have.

What I meant to say is that Hear The Drums broke the all time of record of wins of Sentinel.

well done AG.

Certainly didnt realise this post was related to your horse(Pearl Emblem).
My first instinct was Fools Home.

Total surprise at Laff's comments about the wins this year and Kangaroo Jack equalling the record.last night your horse went ahead.

enjoy
