Elvis, not doubting if you 'got a racing chance'.

The question being with such an injury so close to the race the risk far outweighs the gain as ultimately it could lead to the DEATH of an animal.

And I repeat a race against Curlin and others at the Breeders Cup come October will do MORE for BB than the Belmont imvho.

So why take the chance?

Respectfully, Jim.

Hi Jim,

should the connections decide to take on Curlin, & Curlin beats BB, by how much will that service fee DROP..

on the other hand if BB betas Curlin, the stud fee RISES.

all in all it's a gamble..... which some are prepared to take.... & some will shy away from.

let's see if these two do battle against each other - I feel Curlin will come out on tops.

Elvis you tried to beat a bad draw.A no brainer as that was an easy decision.
There was nothing wrong with your horse ,fit and well you still had a chance.
Many horses have won from a poor draw even in major races. Not too many unfit horses win even minor races.BB by all accounts was an unfit horse into the Belmont which has buried many very good horses.

It seems that my assesment was not that far off if the trainers comments are anything to go by.
