The whole point of uniteds4ever's post has been missed-it relates to the initiative of "comments on 1st timers"
Being clairvoyant or knowing better was surely not originally intended to be a factor in deciphering those comments!

Donald Trump said that he would lock up Clinton if he won. He is not going to.

The weatherman said that it would be sunshine today. Its not its raining

Get over it.

....

......gloves off....I generally avoid reading the comments of trainers on the chances of 1st timers because of this exact example.....however had I read what this trainer had said about this runner I would have doubled my bet.....knew him as a jock nick- named Greedy Freedy....and it seems that like the leopard.... he has not changed his spots......

Muhti ,you are saying what I'm saying.........if breeding ,betting ,jockey arrangements etc are the best guide ,whats the point of the comments anyway.......the initiative was well meant but naive in the extreme!
Racing needs regulated facts not opinions.......and to be fair, truth is ,only a few trainers actually have a line into the field, their first timer is taking on!
(but in this case every pointer contradicts the comments offered)

.....I back more 1st timer winners based on pure pedigree and without that human element that comes into play once the horse has been exposed...... and then the games really begin .....fiddling with the MR and hiding the potential from the handicapper and the punting public.....

......transparency in horse racing is a myth.....
