good draw for my fancy TGS.

poor Irish Pride - worst draw for the Charity Mile and now the worst for the Summer Cup.

Ok guys trying new site went to draw always a long drive from pretoria and back However good vibe.
Firstly background on venue it's an upgrade in a rather poor area in joburg so hats off to the guys that are trying to make a difference.
The draw went smoothly and some good and bad draws .
There was a draw for a TV for best pic via Twitter etc
I am a bit technically challenged without bob so I took a pic and Munya ( a cool dude I met ) with friends in Scotland managed to win tv with a little help from his new friend lol.
Had a few sharpies with Molly and Charl but home safely back in pretoria and on the way back to the pub.
Look forward to the cup and picking the winner No9 drew 7

Racing. It's a Rush: PRESS RELEASE

Subject: GAUTENG SANSUI SUMMER CUP DRAW PAINTS CLEARER PICTURE

Date: NOVEMBER 16, 2016

With 10 days to go until the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup, things got a bit more real for the connections of the respective runners in the 20-horse field with the barrier draw on Wednesday afternoon.

In front of an audience that included sponsors, owners, trainers, jockeys, celebs and the media the mechanism, which used the Johannesburg skyline as a backdrop, helped paint a much clearer picture for the 2000m contest at Turffontein Racecourse on 26 November.

“Every year we get better at this as SANSUI from a sponsorship point of view. We’e got a lot of history with Phumelela and we’re very excited to once again be part of this,” Chris Dirks, Group Executive Merchandise and Marketing for SANSUi licence holders, JD Group said.

“We are glad to be here and to partner with a prestigious horseracing event like this. Our aim is to grow it into one of the best events in Gauteng. Spread the word and tell people that it’s happening and they should get their tickets,” Hans Kekana, speaking on behalf of Gauteng Tourism, said.

It’s a case of deja vu for The Conglomerate with the winner of this year’s Vodacom Durban July having to once again overcome a wide berth, the Joey Ramsden inmate with Piere Strydom up, having drawn 15.

But there was reason to smile for the combination of Geoff Woodruff and Anton Marcus as their charge Deo Juvente managed to land a plum draw of eight. Top weight Mac De Lago will jump from starting stall three while St Tropez, the second of the Ramsden runners, claimed pole position.

Tasked with picking one of the respective blocks for his ride in the race, apprentice Lyle Hewitson ended up with stall 14 for Romany Prince. Rather than rue his position the young jockey opted to rather look forward to once again competing in a Grade One contest.

“It starts to become real when you end up getting to this point. Just seeing the promo videos for the big day is enough to give you goosebumps and I’m privileged to have a ride in the big race and really looking forward to it,” said Hewitson.
