Does anyone else think that although running 2nd , the course & distance found Legal Eagle out last year , imo Marinaresco will go sailing past the Eagle in the last 200m but its gonna be a cracker :woohoo: :woohoo: cant wait

I know most of the runners are running for 3rd but HW have just introduced Gold Standard at 40/1

Considering they ar 14/1 Heavenly Blue it looks a big over price

The Met picture is becoming clearer. Marinaresco and Legal Eagle deserve their places at the top of the boards, and there should be little between them on the day, and they are also likely to fill the Queens Plate exacta.
Whisky Baron is improving steadily, but I don't think that he is as good as the top two.
Bela Bela was not as good as the colts last year, and unless she wins the Paddock Stakes by a distance, is not for me.
I can't have any of the other older horses.
If Gold Standard takes his place he could be a surprise package as he gets the 2kg plus WFA from the top two, but this years 3yos have not shown that they are much above an average crop.

1. Legal Eagle
2. Marinaresco
3. Gold Standard
4. Whisky Baron

Gold Standard is a very good horse. The 1600m was too short last time and i reckon a shrewd entry. He will be running on strong

At the weights it is a 2 horse race, both will start much shorter imo........the others can start now
