House, I am interested in your calculations. What you are in essence saying is this filly after yesterdays romp, was a pound inferior ( ignoring adjustments ) to Trip to Heaven. Either you are taking the piss, or you see things I dont.

There are good reasons that the Handicapper does not publicly rate 2yr olds.
They change from month to month as they grow and some peak early and race against squibs while the better ones are kept back until later in the season or when they are three. Taking a view on babies is risky... many have ability but greeness and inexperience catch them out.. Once they learn to race they improve. I think that the 2yr old picture only becomes clear after the Natal feature season.

mr h the natal season doesnt attract the best two year olds as the best from the cape yards of snaith bass ramsden crawford stay behind in the cape ..one only has to look at the results of the group one cape fillies guineas where just sensual won and and the cape guineas for colts where the first four past the post never campaigned in natal for the winter season..as a result both group ones for 2yos on july day have now been made group 2 races and imo the other group one races for 2yos need to be also looked at as the form going forward isnt standing up just look at the alan robertson and the 2yo colts equilavent from the last few years ..

Re: How good is Kissable
8 years 7 months agoHilton that is true but at least you have a clearer idea on them. You will agree perhaps that touting babies as champs so early in the year is risky. I know that De Kock and Tarry can enter unraced babies in features so building up a young horse that has not faced anything of note is not something I do.pirates wrote: mr h the natal season doesnt attract the best two year olds as the best from the cape yards of snaith bass ramsden crawford stay behind in the cape ..one only has to look at the results of the group one cape fillies guineas where just sensual won and and the cape guineas for colts where the first four past the post never campaigned in natal for the winter season..as a result both group ones for 2yos on july day have now been made group 2 races and imo the other group one races for 2yos need to be also looked at as the form going forward isnt standing up just look at the alan robertson and the 2yo colts equilavent from the last few years ..
