( interesting Dutch Harbor opened 15/1 now into 8/1 even tho D.Sham on Teletalk website it would be need of it and that the gelding operation had not gone that well... interesting on who throwing the money on )

Another one who "needed the run"........nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see them get beat if they try and pull a move like that

i have to agree it nearly won DH , well done to Callan murray great ride on China Express finished like an express train

Dutch Habour is a dangerous front runner , will do well from now on especially on the Poly , won his maiden at Greyville on the polly then won a 1200 at the vaal leading start to finish. Gelding would have helped .

As for the money don't worry about that , it does not take much to shorten from 16/1 to 8/1 and his owner always has a few rand on his horses. Don't think there was any maliciousness there.

Hi Len Sham

Your comments on here is always appreciated. Do not let the odd few create a bitter perception about everyone else. I rather have some sort of angle than none. Regardless if it works out or not. The working out bit on your comments far out ways the reverse.

Cheers for your comments I appreciate them. Likewise with other owners/trainers/breeders etc.

my comments are my opinion only . To have a go at the trainer about the comments is uncalled for.

Len, i had a go at the comments that was posted early in the morning with the exotics, not what you post/fancy. I don't know if it's the trainer/assistant trainer or stable employees who gives the comments, but whoever did it lied through their teeth. The horse was 14to1 and ended up at 7to1 and 2nd favorite on the tote paying R6.60 a win and R2,10 a place. Somebody/ a few people obviously tried to pull a coup, because the horse was cherry ripe and nearly won the race. The pre-race comments was " 2nd run after a gelding which he took bad and will need the run". The same goes for the comment on the Paddock horse which won, "she will probably need the run", but she shortens from 22to10 to 14to10 and shits in??? Its better not to comment on your runners than to mislead the public.

Tappa so you calling all the trainers liars because the horse's run better than anticipated... poor losers always find reasons why their is funny business in all results not in their favour.

If i were a trainer i would not comment on my runners. You may think that your horse is well prepared, eating well, training well and running fast in time trials. Then they race and anything can happen in a race as we all know. The trainer will always have egg on his face so it is best for them to say nothing.

No, only when they shorten in the betting. You see many horses winning at big prices where the trainer didn't fancy them, nothing wrong with it, it happens. It the pulling wool over our eyes I have a problem with.

I agree, there's so many things that can go wrong in a race.
