Simply Royal had one run only which was a cracking run but needed more experience on the race track.

7/10 in my opinion was way too short today!

Banger wrote: go right back to the start ..Khumalo jumped nicely and then veered straight to the rails Simply royal lost all momentum ( was that the plan , it definalety appeared to be further back than he wanted ) Why not hold his position from the start , POOR ride cost punters badly , he was the best horse in the race , turffontien inside track is notorious for tightening , why dont they spread out wide after turning for home ,all jockeys seem to want to sit on rails and gain the inside ok that my beef

The horse didn't get the best of starts. Taking up the better finisher's running is an old trick, they all guilty of doing it, unfortunately the favourite punters bore the brunt of those tactics.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Lets not forget this is the same jock that got banned for a long time for slowing his horse down before the line and got beaten.Concentration problems maybe?

Unbelievable Gavins luck!Looked a winner only for a horse at double figures from a stable with a virus to beat him.
