What SA team has any chance of winning the title in years to come? None!

Stormers, why? They have a very good defence, very quick backline and look unbeatable at home. In sport anything can happen. At this point of the season only The Chiefs, Hurricanes, Highlanders and Crusaders look good. The NZ teams will beat each other thus allowing the Stormers to reach the semi finals. The Stormers to win the cup this season.

Dont worry Craig, next season is just a mere 11 months away. Maybe 2018 will eventually be the year that the Sharks can put up a fight beyond the opening 5 weeks of the season

Lmklaaaaaa!!! You joking right??? Measuring a wolf against sheep never helped anyone. Wait till they face real teams and watch them crumble...especially the stormers.

Spoken like a true All Black supporter

Yes,I'm a Crusader supporter. But locally,I always shout for the stormers, yet I'm not abt to lie abt their abilities...which is...they are a decent team at best!

I don't need to live in NZ to support them. SA Rugby will always be BS just like cricket coz of the selection criteria and Quota system! Never will the best team ever be picked!!! I'll say this again...you are comparing the stormers to who?what? Wait till the big teams come...than we see how they do!

What big teams?

Crusaders play in a piss willie stadium with 5 thousand fans and always get the rub of the green from the biase Aussie and Kiwi refs

Highlanders can't play away from home

Canes are the only team I fear

Do you wear your All Blacks top when they play the Boks as well.

In general, imo the NZ teams are not as big a threat nowadays - not impossible to beat them even in their backyard as the Lions have shown last year when the beat the Chiefs - and the Bulls gave the Chiefs a fright on Saturday before fading in the last quarter - so I expect both Bulls and Stormers to at least hold their own when the NZ sides come here ....

Regarding the Sharks .... I was a the Stadium, and imo the Sharks were a touch unlucky, not sure what happened when they got the yellow card as the big screens were down at the Stadium when that happened (and the incident is not included in the highlights package) - but the Lions scored straight after that and brought them back into the game.

The ref imo was poor - both sides got nailed - but I did agree with the Pyper decision in the first half to award the Lions a penalty for a 'neck-grab' before the Sharks crossed the line - and in any case I believe that last pass went forward

On the whole, it was a great game and the Lions deserve praise for the way they came back after a dismal first 35 minutes

I also never watched the game. I have not been impressed with the level of the SA refs when comparing them to their counterparts.

In this game you have to take the good with the bad. Sharks fans were very quiet when Egon Seconds handed them victory over the Kings.
