Pissing with rain down our way. I am sure this will make things even better for Pocket if it turns up soft on race day. The ground does not seem to be draining easily in Durban and Clairwood looked pretty cut up on Saturday. We have not had serious rain for three weeks but the track looked like it had been rained on a few days before Gold Challenge day. Maybe the drainage at Greyville is better.

We have had a lot of rain in the summer months and the ground water tables are probably full hence the lack of drainage. Anyway thats my amature geological analysis for the track on race day. I am sure Pocket will prefer a bit of softer ground with his tender feet bothering him as they do.

Alcaponee the 'cut up' tracks you've been seeing is due to drought, not over watering. We are desperately in need of rain here. Was dreading tomorrow's meeting on the Scottsville concrete, plus we've got 3 KZN meetings over the next 5 days here so the light rain today is just in time. Gives a bit of hope it does, otherwise you Pocket Power followers are going to have to rely on more than prayer and concussion pads come July day.

Hey Flight , in the Gold Challenge post race interview, Justin Snaith casted a doubt on Dancer's Daughter running in the July.Mentioned that she was very valuable etc etc and still has an entire future ahead of her and a meeting will be held to discuss options.Maybe these comments swayed Waichong.Rather have a ride than no ride.
