If there was an enquiry ever brought about it would make the Arms Deal like like a nursery school bedtime story.

There are no rules and no honour in horse racing annymore.
All you need to get to the top is a frien in high places and does not care a damn about anyone.
I wish I had such a friend.
If checks were done we would have someone else as a Managing Director.
Are we able to ever trust the NHRA anymore?

In 2015‚ Judge Elias Matojane ruled that Berning Ntlemeza lacked integrity and honour. Berning Ntlemeza was found to have deliberately misled the court in an appeal against a court ruling overturning the suspension of former Gauteng Hawks head Shadrack Sibiya.
Are there any parallels to be drawn from the court ruling?
The NHRA trustees need to come clean. If they do not, how can they expect us to believe that there is complete honour and integrity in everything the NHRA does.

.....but what if these standards actually did become the exact standards for employment in the running of horse racing.....seems the more dirt you have on a top dog .....they would then do anything to avoid being exposed and the more he will do for you to assist in attaining the goal of total capture ....in the join the dots thread after Jooste was found to have done some really dodgy practices at Steinhoff.....and on the who is connected to whom issue....it became apparent that if one wanted people to play ball in the capture of racing..... you had to have them by the balls....and then they would have play your type of ball.....

......hearing that Barends is found to be indebted to several financial institutions with mainly personal loans, bonds running into millions....also that he was hand picked and proposed to the NHRA through some very close to Jooste....now the handshake has to be most golden..... that birdie can sure sing a most interesting song.....

Rereading this thread exposes the incompetence of the NHRA. It was clear on Barends appointment that he was not the right candidate and had been placed there by the cabal that controlled racing. The elephant in the room has always been that he is a Jooste appointment and the selection process was handled by the Jooste stooge Wainstein.
It is time that NHRA board members accept responsibility for this and stand up and be counted.

Time For NHA Board To Go?
Integrity questions have to be answered
Updated 10th September 2018
I noted with alarm the Sunday Times report on the financial embarrassment of Mr Lyndon Barends, the CEO of the National Horseracing Authority ( NHA )
Longstanding breeder and NHA Life Member Dr Marianne Thomson writes in the Sporting Post Mailbag that she has some points to make.
At the time of his appointment, was the NHA board aware of his financial problems ?
If so , were the members of the Board complicit in a cover up ?
If they were not aware, were they negligent ?
Surely anybody appointed to a position of this standing and power should be thoroughly vetted beforehand.
Now, to allow this compromised gentleman to return on 25 September would be a travesty.
Before his possible reinstatement, there surely must be a thorough forensic audit of the NHA.
This audit should be made available to the public , especially as there is doubt as to the integrity of the board.
It has come to my notice that there has been a massive “clear out “ of staff at the NHA.
Please could there be an audit of the total wage bill and expenses incurred over the past two years.
Speaking as a Breeder and Life Member of the NHA, I have a right to know.
As does every other Breeder, Owner, Trainer and other parties who have their lives “ruled” by the NHA.
This is OUR Industry and livelihood and for too long we have suffered and tolerated mediocrity in silence.
Perhaps this is time for the Board to resign in its entirety and to find untarnished, passionate people to come forward to lead us.
