Looking at Interbet, the volume of money traded on the winner was double that of the favourite, a very odd thing to see, with such a short favourite especially. :ohmy:

Exactly .....our regulators set racing up to look bad - you could see that coming (unless you are a NHA staff member)
If you back against and it jumps , you've done your money ,but if you back it and it doesn't you lose.........I'd rather put money on roulette than whether a horse MIGHT jump FFS!

What happened in the first race is good enough reason for horse racing to lose supporters. Whoever backed the favourite did their money in cold blood. Why put a horse that is troublesome at the start in a workriders race. I do not believe it would have won even if the work rider tried to get it to jump out of the stalls. Presents all round to the winning A team, Semela, Dadamasi and the poor work rider who fell sick for Dadamasi to take the ride.
