It is always easy to single out guys when things go wrong - let's not forget, the same team thumped Sri Lanka and NZ and was very unlucky not to win the series against England ....

That being said, I agree that all is not well within the team, and if AB is the source of unhappiness, Faf should replace him as captain in all formats. I did not watch the game today, just saw that AB was run-out - it's unfortunate that when things go wrong, they normally go wrong in a big way - but I will not be surprised if he finds his form again in the remaining T20's and Tests in England - he is just too good not to.

And how any cricket 'expert' can think that Parnell is good enough to be a National player ... it just boggles my mind .... and then the 'brains trust' thought it would be a good idea to open the attack with him ... yes, a left/right combination is a good idea for an opening attack, but it does not help a lot if the lefty is not good enough ....

And Tahir is surely on his last legs, is Maharaj the answer ?

AB is not staying for the tests. That's the issue, he only plays when he wants to play. Time for SA cricket to send him on his bike

It really seems only the selectors (cough cough, experts) deem Parnell good enough...

Imvho, as much as Maharaj haspulled his weight, and he does seem to suit out test team well being able to hold up one end, he is not the answer in the limited over format. I still feel gutted for Shamzi that he did not make the final squad. I do really feel he is the best answer we have.

We not as good as India and that's a fact, the ranking's aren't a true reflection because u gain points against teams who just come off a long tour or beat teams in your own conditions. I'm surprised that nobody had questioned the decision to bat first against Pakistan when every single weather forecast predicted rain early evening.

The 2019 World Cup is two years away from now so lots of time to mix the new with the old. Definitely Duminy and Parnell are not worthy enough to be in the squad. Aiden Markram should get a run so to Theunis de Bruyn in the batting department, Lungi Ngidi for bowling.

The 2019 World Cup will be nine round robin games so no excuses if you cant make the top four for the semi finals.

I wouldn't say we choked. To choke you lose from an excellent winning position. We were not good enough to even get into a winning position. We were just plain useless.
