Mind you why isn't Helderberg Blue getting a look in, he finished just as close as the mighty Black Arthur did to ES at the weights. And what about crowd pleaser he ran a cracker behind ES? Actually I think the whole formline should get in because if you ran behind Elusive Silva you are good enough to run in the July.
Black Arthur has about as much merit as sun on Africa, Helderberg blue and crowd pleaser to run in the July and that's in black and white and that's the truth. I have however given in to the fact that Black Arthur will get in. The Snaiths have turned into boxing promoters to get the horse in which is a bit sad but hey you got to do what you got to do when the horse isn't good enough to get in on exposed form.
they are not entered so moot point
I'm aware of that, they not entered because they not good enough, their trainers aren't going on PR campaigns to try and get an unworthy horse into the July.

Love them or hate them....the Snaith boys bring a new refreshing dimension into this field selection and i for one cannot begrudge them for their efforts in raising the profile of Black Arthur.Other stables can take a leaf out if this and this is what the July vibe is all about......and no other race in the continent matches it...I am NOT a Black Arthur fan but hope he gets in.......and maybe we all get egg on our faces..

at 300 to 1 and 150 to 1 girl on the run and trophy wife look massive runners in the july and deserve their spot but black arthur at 10 to 1 doesnt and really what do the bookies and the betting public know anyway ...seriously the horse has had 10 runs and has a similiar if not better profile than the conglomerate who some may have forgotten won the race last year ..they both won the natal guineas as 3yos and then both got gelded in january of their 4yo career and its very clear that black arthur is crying out for this distance if you take the time to listen to delpeches interview after he won on black arhur last year in the guineas ..3rd run rest gelding lightly raced as a 4yo with 54.5 and from a yard that knows how to train a july winner but rather have some old flipping mares who should be making babies ..

If more trainers were like the Snaiths we would have a lot more hype and build up to our flagship races. At least we know a bit about their runners beyond the form. Punters cry out for stable info and then when it is made available, they are promoting their horses?

The first 6 have won the races that matters to the panel so not argueing about them.
1 edict of nantes
2 al sahem
3 master sabina
4 ten gun salute
5 elusive silva
6 coral fever
Lets see what the rest achieved in last 6 months in graded races.... yes 6 months to give your horse the chance to show he can perform in GRADED races . And distances from 1600m - 2800m i will consider (up to 600m shorter or further than 2200m July)

Imvho, there are a few flaws to your arguments, starting off with the definition of 'preferred' entry ..... of course everyone is entitled to an opinion ... I just don't agree with yours in this case

Stable info is not a July evaluation criterion and nor is monies earned.

I totally agree, we need more stables and racing personnel that are so passionate and think out of the box...hats off to the Snaith team.

I see Marcus has accepted the ride on Pogoda in the July Consolation 2200m race.
This may not get into the final July field.
