I can quite relate to that --- very often if you're offering a public opinion , you tend to go with the most probable selection that seems quite reasonable - occasionally, off the record one would back something that has an outside chance, but offers some particular form of value ---- you cannot really put those out there as public matter because usually they have a pretty low strike rate - with high returns. A low strike rate is not what people are tuning in to the channel for though.
On the other hand, I try as far as possible not to listen to the tellytrack presenters, at all - pushing the play button on my PC only when the race is to be run. At times I wonder at some of the things they say, some times am purely astounded, and other times find myself wondering if there where not deliberate comments to affect prices on specific horses
Rather than subject myself to that - I don't pay attention to them all, I watch the races, and the post race interviews and replays.
In similar vein - if you want to know what isn't going to win the weekends big feature race - go to the tabonline sites, headline story --- I think they have got it right about twice in the past 5 months.
