Surely that is unfair!Rokatenda's gates don't open but because he ran fourth he is declared a runner but no good for anyone in the PA.And Aldo looked a bit scared to go through the gap twice. If he didn't want to win at least run fifth so you are declared a non runner.

I backed Rokatenda to win and lost due to the dodgey gates. I backed Apollo Star to win at 14/10 on world sports betting, they gave me 9/10 due the five being scratched and thus a 35% deduction. Remind me again why I play horses...

I dont think roktenda lost due to dodgey gates.
Lost because jockey was scared of taking the gap.

Horrid ride on Rokatenda. The gaps where there twice but he hesitated both times and they closed. But now he comes and wins and the fancied Stable companion runs unplaced.Odd racing here today.

The replay clearly showed the gates didn't open properly. Watch the replay when you can. I think the rule says because it finished in the top four the result stands.

I think that rule was made for the owner and trainer so they can get some stake money. As for the punter,he is the one that gets stuffed.

Rokatenda was drawn 1. The 3 draw was Fujin who was declared a non-runner/scratching.
