The morning spent kayaking off Moullie Point rather than studying form. Beautiful out there, dolphins and penguins for company.
The PE card is turned upside down with the change in course, and hence lots of scratchings. Quite a few that haven't run on the poly, and the draws now a factor.
Race 4:Fort Winter could be a banker, but hasn't been on the poly. If he fails then wide open. Maverick Girl has some good poly form.
Race 5: Imagine Dragon would have been the fancy on the turf, but the one I like here is Corker. Has had shocking draws 3 of its last 4, and ran a good race when drawn nicely two runs ago. Cracks a fair draw of 5 after scratchings and is suited to poly. Leila Organa also good poly form.
Race 6: Three smart 3yos but none have poly experience. Kingston Warren narrowly preferred to Kiftsgate. Dickensian is classy but big weight. Across the Lake jumps from draw 1 and could be a factor.
Race 7: It is Written has run well lately, but unknown on the poly. Dynastic Power and Notting Hill must now come into the reckoning. Story of my Life gets 4kg off and is well in with the claim.
Race 8: Peonie Rock stands out and drops in class, but may be better turf and has a wide draw although after scratchings now dr 8. Wide open if she fails.
Race 9: Lady Away has good poly form and is the selection. Midtown Manhattan is running off a competitive rating.
