Wrecking Ball should have the beating of this field, any repeat of the runs behind Champagne Haze, Rafeef or Brutal Force should see him walk home. 28/10 nice value

R1 one of the first timers I think will win, the money is for star of joburg, I see the jock has a share in the horse too, I however like the tarry runner despite the lack of money thus far.

R2 Tarry runner Visigoth makes natural appeal, however the failure to quicken last time is a concern and again the lack of money also a concern, place value for me lies with Harrington Port.

R3 Sabastian to hopefully show that over the trip he is above average. On weight turn around with a few runners he has a few held and the last run I'm drawing a line through as I feel they let King's drive dictate and with the master of pace aboard I think Sabastian is a decent e/w bet.

R4 A tricky little race where some quality three year olds take on some hard knockers. Tokyo drift could fire a quick double for Scott Kenny but cannot be solely relied on as on a line through Crazy Vision Surcharge could be the real deal and thus TD needs to make up a bit if S improves at all. Keenan's Rock also has a lot of improvement to come but fitness is a concern.

R5 Wrecking ball the class, draw a slight concern if anything is going to upset il include Movie Show, Daring Diva and Ponchielli in order of preference.

R6 Green Pepper and Excuisite touch the obvious runners, however both may be in need of a gallop and thus Mujallad and Isphan may be worth including in larger perms.

R7 Varsity Princess the value for me, jockey strike with Strydom on and I feel he could make the difference. Queen at war will also enjoy the drop in trip despite being out at the weights.

R8 Tough close to a tricky card with a lot of the fancied runners having awkward barriers, not a major issue supposedly over the trip, but does make positioning all the more difficult. For me Blue Sage is the preference but by no means a good thing. Flying dream also be thereabouts and don't leave the rank outsider Navette out of quartets.

Play well.

Alistair Cohen tweeted that the Verdonese horse(Star of Joburg) in the first is rumoured to be unbeatable - he says don't shoot the messenger.

I have been told that the A Laird first timer, National Host is quite smart.

For me, taking the draw into account, Prince of War will make the first timers run and looks good VALUE :P
