Did Paul Peter have any comments about ALDEBARAN? It was strongly fancied on debut.

She doesn't have to be too special to win this. Worth a flutter.

I also think Mooney will win - just a little worried about the rider

Re: Vaal Thursday 10/19
7 years 7 months agoThe horse was pulling a bit at the beginning of the race so the jockey did the right thing and let Mooney go to the front. After that he kept on increasing his lead to about 8 or 10 lengths coming into the Vaal straight.I think he was clear till about 20 m from the line where three horses passed him and was beaten just over a length. He nearly stole it but my feeling was that he was going too fast and just had nothing to come in the last 100m or so.Maybe the early pulling cost it.If he had won it would have been a brilliant ride but unfortunately he didn't manage to hold on for a place.mydada wrote:durbs wrote:He sure let you guys down.Nearly stole it only to finish out the placings.Overall I think the work riders rode well today.Frodo wrote:Tony T wrote: R1 Roventador ew & R8 Mooney.

Except for the last race. I had the field in the P6 and the biggest roughie arrived. Pay pay!
