.....best that their reps report here....but bookies generally have t&c's that if date or venue are changed then bets are nul and void....

Clarification from HollywoodBets with regards to all bets placed on the Turffontein Meeting.
As per the HW Terms & Conditions below:
3.17 Postponed Races
Where a race advertised to be run on a certain date is postponed to any future date, if the race is run more than 48 hours after the originally advertised date and time all bets on that postponed race shall be void, save in respect of ante-post bets.

All bets struck on the Turffontein Meeting WILL STAND this includes FIXED BETS AND OPEN BETS. Customers that wish to cancel bets struck online may call in to the Call Centre to do so.

With regards to the exotic bets on the Kenilworth meeting the FIELD WILL APPLY for the leg which included the Summer Cup.

So as I thought at 9am there was not going to be racing.. I was hoping they would check the track around 11 am but no.. I went there we paid for the food and as I presumed at 9am there was no racing today at Turfontein.. well at least we lost no money today on the races and that's it till April next for the box

The catering was really top draw and the vibe in the box was very good.

My sentiments exactly..... thanks for the great hospitality, pity racing did NOT take place cause the Big T seemed to clear up mid afternoon & the rain had stopped.

The BAND had a Field day on the Big T straight, & none of them seemed to be sinking ankle deep into mud & slush. A helicopter even landed on the MAIN COURSE proper - in the region where the PULL UP, was supposed to be so bad !! go figure.

Just wish they had run ONE race before making such a decision....... IF they race tomorrow, watch this space - will be about 20% turnout of spectators ( mainly OWNERS will be there )

Tote turnover going to be really shiiiit this year for SUMMER CUP DAY :S

Shot boys... Elvis maybe appoint a committee to investigate why they decided not to race and the financial ramifications of it?

People slinging off with no facts ..Horses where galloped and the right decision was made.. believe me this was a massive call from Phumelela management. Can we not give credit where it’s due and not always have negative take ? Believe me WE ALL WANTED TO RACE including the jockeys . BUT At the end of the day safety of horse and rider was the deciding factor . reply
